    The Winner's Edge card

Winner's Edge is AGLC's province-wide loyalty program, used at many Alberta casinos, and Great Northern Casino's site links to it. Members must be 18 or older, and they collect the card from Guest Services after showing government ID. GameSense My Activity and Budgeting Tools let members set spending and time limits and alerts online or at any Alberta casino's Winner's Edge kiosk. People enrolled in self-exclusion cannot hold a card. The casino's "VIP CLUB" is an email newsletter, not a players club.

    Online play in Alberta

Alberta's market for regulated online gaming opened on July 13, 2026. AGLC regulates this market, while AiGC, the Alberta iGaming Corporation, manages it. A legal operator must be registered with AGLC and hold an operating agreement with AiGC. AGLC runs the province's own site, Play Alberta (PlayAlberta.ca). AiGC's directory at abigaming.ca can confirm any operator, and an operator not listed there is not regulated.

Gambling in Alberta is legal from age 18. The Record marks each paid link on its home page with the Ad label. Their destination is not Play Alberta but a private online casino partner, and the Record is paid a commission. This partner is subject to change.
