Gambling Help Near Great Northern Casino
Filed by the 107 Avenue deskChecked October 4, 2026
In Alberta, gambling help costs nothing and stays confidential, whether by phone, by text or online. The second half of this page sets out how the Record checks and dates its facts.
Where to get help
- Recovery Alberta operates the Addiction Helpline at 1-866-332-2322, and its scope includes problem gambling. The line costs nothing, keeps every call confidential and answers 24/7.
- Calls to 211, texts of INFO to 211 and online chat all reach 211 Alberta, which is free, confidential and available 24/7. Its service includes referrals for gambling support.
- AGLC's Self-Exclusion Program enrols online only, at selfexclusion.ca, for regulated online gaming, casinos and racing entertainment centres in Alberta, or both. A term is set at six months, or at one, two or three years; it takes effect at once and cannot end early.
- A Responsible Gambling Info Centre representative is on site at Great Northern Casino. Under GameSense, AGLC's responsible gambling program, each casino and racing entertainment centre across Alberta hosts an info centre plus GameSense Advisors.
Setting limits
Set a time limit and a money limit before leaving for the casino, and keep to both. Through GameSense My Activity and Budgeting Tools, members of Winner's Edge can set alerts plus spending and time limits. The tools are available online and at the Winner's Edge kiosk of every Alberta casino. People enrolled in self-exclusion cannot join Winner's Edge. Gambling is legal in Alberta from 18, and casino staff must verify valid government-issued photo ID for anyone looking under 25.
About the 107 Avenue desk
Authorship of the Record belongs collectively to the 107 Avenue desk, which also signs it. Pages carry no personal byline, and the site names no author. Each page carries the date its facts were checked.
Facts in the Record were checked on October 4, 2026. The checks drew on Great Northern Casino's own pages, the City of Grande Prairie, the AGLC casino directory and provincial sources. Distances run in a straight line from one map coordinate to another. Roads are longer than these lines.
The Record is an independent guide, not Great Northern Casino's own site, and it takes no bets. The Record has no comment section, no forms and no accounts. The colour theme stays in the browser tab. Visits are counted with no cookie set, while an outside service receives the IP address, browser type and referring page.
All six plates were made with an image generator, five of them as photographic-style scenes generated after real photographs of the places. Four show Great Northern Casino: the entrance on 107 Avenue, the bar with steak and Caesar salad, the table games floor, the event room stage. The fifth shows the slot floor of Wild Horse Casino & Lounge at Evergreen Park. The poker page carries the table games floor, not the poker room. The sixth, a generated scene of a highway through harvested fields, shows no specific road, and the plates contain no people.
